SPFR100 now available in a full range of tones

For years, fire-retardant treatments for wood came with a compromise: you could have fire protection, but you had to accept a limited colour palette or add separate topcoats. SPFR100 changes that.

Fire protection and colour in one step

SPFR100 Fire-Retardant Tone range integrates certified fire performance with architectural colour. The fire-retardant chemistry is part of the pigmented coating, not a separate layer underneath. This means:

  • No need for additional topcoats
  • Colour and fire protection are applied in a single process
  • The tone remains weather-resistant and stable over time

A palette for modern architecture

The SPFR100 tone collection includes warm browns, cool greys, deep blacks, and a transparent option for projects that want to preserve the natural wood grain while adding fire protection. Each tone can achieve B-s1,d0 classification when applied according to technical specifications.

Custom tinting is also available for projects requiring specific RAL, NCS, or other colour chart references, enabling seamless integration with façade and interior design schemes.

Real-world benefits

Architects and builders appreciate the simplicity. Instead of coordinating a fire-retardant treatment with a separate stain or lacquer, they can specify SPFR100 in the desired tone and complete the job in one application cycle. This reduces labour, shortens project timelines, and eliminates compatibility concerns between different coating layers.

Technical assurance

Each SPFR100 tone undergoes the same rigorous testing as the clear version. Full test reports and certificates are available, ensuring that specifiers can document compliance with building regulations while achieving the visual result their project demands.
